About Remarkable
We are Remarkable – a digital experience agency built to power transformative customer journeys. We partner with ambitious, forward-thinking brands to create high-performing platforms, products, and content strategies through platforms like Sitecore, Optimizely, and Microsoft Dynamics. With deep expertise across cloud, content, commerce, and CRM, we help brands across sectors - especially B2B - connect with their audiences, accelerate performance, and scale with confidence. We’re collaborative, curious, and outcome-focused. We thrive on solving complex challenges and delivering work that makes a difference. If you're passionate about elevating content from a tactical asset to a strategic advantage, this is the place for you.
Role Overview
We are seeking a Digital Content Strategist to join our growing team and lead content strategy engagements for some of the UK’s most innovative enterprise brands. You’ll be responsible for crafting content strategies that are human, operationally viable, and aligned with business objectives. This means connecting the dots between brand, user needs, search behaviour, platform capability, and the content supply chain. With experience in both content strategy and hands-on production, you’ll bring credibility, empathy, and precision to your work. You’ll also be confident managing multiple senior stakeholders, advocating for content quality, and ensuring strategies are actionable - not theoretical.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Collaboration & Leadership
- Facilitate discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, and content alignment sessions across marketing, product, IT, and compliance teams.
- Influence senior decision-makers with clear business cases for content investment and strategy.
- Translate complex requirements into clear, phased roadmaps with a focus on value, feasibility, and performance.
- Educate internal and external teams on the evolving role of content in digital transformation.
Content Strategy & Planning
- Lead content discovery, audit, and strategy phases, aligning content with audience needs, user journeys, and business goals.
- Design content models, page templates, messaging frameworks, and editorial guidelines to support effective delivery at scale.
- Create and maintain content plans that cover all types of content, including:
- Industry insights and thought leadership
- Product catalogue and service descriptions
- Blogs and topical content
- Case studies and customer stories
- Corporate news and press releases
- Anchor content like whitepapers, reports, and gated resources
- Define content governance models and workflows that reflect internal capabilities, resourcing, and platform constraints.
- Work closely with technical and UX teams to ensure content strategies are structured, scalable, and integrated with DXP platforms and martech stacks.
Content Operations & AI-Augmented Workflows
- Support clients in optimising their content supply chain, from planning and creation to publishing and performance.
- Integrate AI tools such as GPT-based content agents, in-CMS writing assistants (e.g. Sitecore Stream, Optimizely Opal) and editorial automation into content workflows - responsibly and effectively.
- Champion content quality, authenticity, and brand alignment, even in AI-assisted environments.
- Help shape content team roles, responsibilities, and operating models within client organisations.
Discoverability & Future-Search Strategy
- Apply deep knowledge of SEO, AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) to content recommendations.
- Identify content gaps and opportunities through keyword research, SERP analysis, and competitor benchmarking.
- Ensure all content is optimised for modern discovery - including structured data, internal linking, and Core Web Vitals alignment.
- Collaborate with performance marketing teams to ensure content supports paid, organic, and social campaigns.
Skills and Experience
Essential Skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across teams and divisions to navigate conflicting priorities and strategies, bringing cohesion and alignment.
- Confident facilitating workshops and engaging senior stakeholders, including C-levels and global marketing leads.
- Proven experience in a content strategy role for digital platforms, ideally within an agency or consultancy environment.
- Experience with B2B content strategy - ideally for technology-focused brands.
- Strong analytical skills, with ability to use tools like GA4, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog to inform content decisions, working alongside SEO experts.
- Knowledge of AI-assisted content creation (e.g. ChatGPT, Jasper, brand-aware GPTs) and its practical application in enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in content production - you can write, edit, and evaluate content to a high standard.
- Understanding of enterprise-level CMS/DXP platforms (e.g. Sitecore, Optimizely, Adobe), and how content strategy integrates with martech ecosystems.
- Demonstrable success in creating content strategies that drive results across SEO, UX, and conversion.
- Familiarity with DAM platforms, content governance, and editorial workflows at scale.
Desirable Skills
- Experience defining content models, taxonomies, metadata structures, and personalisation logic.
- Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive content practices.
- Familiarity with localisation workflows and translation-ready content.
- Knowledge of analytics tools like Looker Studio, Hotjar, or Microsoft Clarity.
- Awareness of how content supports broader CX, CRM, and digital product strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- A strategic thinker with a bias for clarity and action.
- Passionate about creating content that works for humans first, and machines second.
- Adept at balancing creativity and structure, storytelling and scalability.
- Collaborative, curious, and comfortable working across disciplines.
- Proactive and confident in leading conversations around governance, workflow, and value.
- Driven by outcomes - not just deliverables.
