This is an exciting opportunity to lead the marketing team responsible for the growth of a global digital agency. You will lead the operational decisions within the Marketing team, whilst closely managing existing projects and campaigns to ensure successful delivery and demonstrable results. You’ll need to be ‘hands-on’ and relish the opportunity to develop a small, growing team of talented marketers.
Purpose of the Role
As the Sitecore Practice Lead, you will define and drive the strategic direction for delivering exceptional digital experiences using the Sitecore Digital Experience Platform (DXP). Your role will involve leading a team of optimization experts, architects, and developers to design, implement, and continuously improve Sitecore-powered solutions.
With a focus on personalization, experimentation, and data-driven optimization, you will ensure our clients fully leverage the capabilities of the Sitecore platform to achieve their business goals. You’ll be a hands-on leader, balancing strategic vision with operational delivery and championing innovation in digital experience optimization.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
1. Strategy & Vision
- Develop and own the Sitecore practice strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational and client objectives.
- Stay at the forefront of Sitecore’s evolving capabilities and industry trends, driving innovation and best practices.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify growth opportunities, enhance offerings, and expand the practice’s footprint.
2. Team Leadership & Development
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of optimization consultants, architects, and developers specializing in Sitecore.
- Balance leadership (approx. 30%) with hands-on delivery (approx. 70%) to ensure client success and team effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence, ensuring the team is equipped with the tools and training needed for success.
3. Delivery Excellence
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of Sitecore projects, including strategy development, implementation, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the setup and configuration of Sitecore features such as experimentation, personalization, and analytics.
- Ensure all solutions meet the highest quality standards and are aligned with client KPIs and business goals.
4. Optimization & Experimentation
- Champion a data-driven approach to optimization, leveraging A/B testing, multivariate testing, and personalization.
- Develop and implement experimentation frameworks to enhance customer journeys, engagement, and conversion rates.
- Provide strategic insights based on analytics and testing outcomes to refine and enhance client strategies.
5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during Sitecore projects, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, development, and product teams, to deliver cohesive digital experiences.
- Support business development efforts by contributing to pitches, proposals, and client workshops.
6. Process Innovation & Thought Leadership
- Continuously research and adopt emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies within the optimization domain.
- Develop and embed best practices for Sitecore implementation, including content modelling, experimentation, and analytics.
- Serve as a thought leader, contributing to blogs, webinars, and conferences to enhance the organization’s reputation in the digital optimization space.
7. Tool Selection & Integration
- Oversee the integration of Sitecore with third-party tools and systems, such as CRMs, CDPs, and analytics platforms.
- Ensure the optimal configuration and usage of Sitecore’s capabilities to maximize ROI for clients.
- Provide guidance on the adoption of complementary tools to enhance testing, reporting, and personalization efforts.

- Risk and Compliance Management: Conduct high-level risk assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and oversee internal and external audits.
- Incident Response and Resource Allocation: Lead in responding to security incidents affecting your team and allocating necessary resources to support the information security program.
