Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SEO Content Specialist to drive the performance of our clients' websites through high-quality, SEO-optimised content across Finance, Home & Garden, Travel, and Technology industries. You will be responsible for developing content strategies, writing engaging content, and optimising on-page elements to improve organic search visibility and performance, whilst helping nurture users through their customer journey. Working closely with developers, UX designers, and technical SEO specialists, you will ensure that content aligns with both search engine best practices and user intent.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Creation
- Conduct keyword research and analyse search intent to identify content opportunities.
- Carry out in-depth content audits, taking content inventory and analysing for discoverability, readability, engagement, alignment with customer journeys and KPIs.
- Develop comprehensive content plans aligned with clients' SEO goals.
- Write, edit, proofread, and optimise on-site content, including metadata, H1 tags, and on-page copy.
- Content goes beyond written blogs, ability to take content ideas and extrapolate to other formats and media (long form, short form, infographics, social media content, video, etc) is key.
- Create thought leadership and inspiration content that drives engagement and search visibility.
- Ensure content aligns with brand tone of voice and SEO best practices. Monitor and analyse client website performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs (alongside other tools).
- Prepare client-facing SEO performance reports with actionable insights.
- Stay up to date with algorithm updates, search trends, and industry best practices.
- Being the Thought-Leader and an innovator in SEO, considering it as a component in an evolving 'discoverability' sector, where AI and other trends are starting to take hold.
SEO Optimisation
- Optimise content for search engines using best practices, including schema markup and structured data.
- Use tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the Technical SEO team to ensure site architecture and performance support content visibility.
Execution & Collaboration
- Work closely with technical SEO consultants, developers, UX, and PPC teams to integrate SEO best practices across digital projects and ensure content is indexable, discoverable and engaging.
- Support site migrations and technical implementations, ensuring SEO priorities are met.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to refine SEO strategies based on industry trends, algorithm updates, and competitive insights.
- Provide actionable SEO roadmaps to Account Managers and internal teams, ensuring data-driven prioritisation.
SEO Research & Emerging Trends
- Conduct keyword research, SERP analysis, and competitor benchmarking to identify content opportunities.
- Stay ahead of Google algorithm updates, AI-powered search trends, and evolving best practices in discoverability.
- Content goes beyond written content, ability to take content ideas and extrapolate to other media (long form, short form, infographics, social media content, video, etc) is key.
Client-Facing SEO Content & Business Growth
- Present findings, insights, and SEO content recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Assist with new business acquisition through in-depth content audits and strategic recommendations.
- Prepare detailed SEO content performance reports with actionable insights to guide client decision-making.
- Being the Thought-Leader and an innovator in content, considering it as a component in an evolving ‘discoverability’ sector, where AI, sustainability and other trends are starting to take hold.
Skills and Experience
Essential Skills
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in SEO with a technical SEO specialism
- Proven experience in delivering measurable content performance for clients in an agency setting.
- Strong knowledge of Google algorithms, ranking factors, and search engine crawling behaviour.
- Strong understanding of search intent, keyword research, and competitor analysis.
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
- Experience with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Looker Studio.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing presentations.

- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
